Welcome to the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. Delta Beta Chapter, Austin, Texas. We are a professional organization of women in the field of education. We are educators representing all levels of education from Early Childhood through Higher Education and all facets of the learning spectrum including teachers, superintendents, curriculum coordinators, counselors, technology instructors, teaching nurses, school psychologists, school librarians and educational consultants, to name a few. The purposes of our sorority are:

  • To stimulate professional growth among educators

  • To foster true sisterhood

  • To promote the highest teaching ideals; and

To encourage the development of the potential of our youth

NSPDK is as vibrant and relevant as in the founding year of 1923. The organization is 99 years old, with over 5,000 members and affiliates in more than one hundred chapters across the United States. The local Austin chapter, Delta Beta, is home to the best of best in the teaching profession. We believe in excellence in education and service in our community. Our Y.E.S. (Youth, Education, Service) program guides our work.

We extend an invitation to educator with a desire to effect change and make a difference in the lives of young people, parents and communities. Feel free to contact us at deltabeta1977@gmail.com for more information.
